Yinka Shonibare Foundation

The Re:assemblages Symposium 2025 brought together artists, curators, scholars, archivists and cultural practitioners in Lagos for a two-day programme exploring African and Afro-diasporic archives and their potential to shape new narratives. The project encompassed PR, communications and on-site event management, building visibility around the symposium while coordinating the delivery of the programme.

Working closely with Guest Artists Space Foundation, Yinka Shonibare Foundation, speakers and partners, the campaign combined targeted media outreach and press engagement with hands-on event coordination. This included managing speakers, schedules, venues and programming to ensure the communications and operational elements worked seamlessly together. The result was a cohesive international symposium that strengthened the profile of the organisations involved and brought its central ideas and participants to a wider audience.
