Lagos
2025
The Re:assemblages Symposium 2025 brought together artists, curators, scholars, archivists and cultural practitioners in Lagos for a two-day programme exploring African and Afro-diasporic archives, their histories, and their potential to shape new narratives for the future. My role supported the programme across PR, communications and on-site event management, helping to build visibility around the symposium while coordinating the many moving parts required to bring the conference together.
The strategy combined targeted media outreach and relationship-building with hands-on event delivery, working closely with the Guest Artists Space Foundation, Yinka Shonibare Foundation, speakers and partners. Alongside managing press engagement and communications, I supported the on-site production and coordination of the symposium, helping ensure speakers, schedules, venues and programming came together seamlessly. By working across both the communications and operational sides of the project, I helped translate the ambition of Re:assemblages into a cohesive, high-profile international programme and create a strong platform for the organisations, artists and ideas at its centre.
